Education in Open Society (EOS) association was established in early 2007 in Warsaw by a group of young people – academics, artists, and professionals – who want to change the future of higher education in Poland. The founding of the association was made possible by a grant from the Alumni Grant Program of the Open Society Institute.
The key goals of EOS are:
- promoting liberal education,
- integrating the alumni networks of the OSI and the Stefan Batory Foundation,
- promoting arts and culture,
- campaigning for human and civil rights,
- supporting the development of democracy, and
- acting in support of European integration.
EOS is the legal entity overseeing Projekt College, dedicated to a belief that starting a non-profit liberal arts college in Poland is the best step towards realizing our goals.
EOS is independent, nonpartisan, and non-profit.
