Łukasz Abramowicz
Born in 1979. Graduated from the College for Individual Studies in the Humanities (MISH) at the University of Warsaw (major: sociology, minor: literature). He was awarded scholarships at New York University, the University of Oxford, and the European College of Liberal Arts. Łukasz is currently writing his PhD thesis at the University of Pennsylvania. He has published numerous articles on Polish higher education, worked as a Summer Associate at McKinsey&Company. He is also a higher education expert for the Forum for the Development of Economic Education (FREE) think-tank.
Krzysztof Iszkowski
Born in 1979. Graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics (major: international relations) and MISH at the University of Warsaw (major: sociology). Krzysztof is completing his PhD at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Krzysztof studied at Bard College (Open Society Institute fellowship) and at Plater College, Oxford (Stefan Batory Trust scholarship). He teaches European integration at the Warsaw School of Social Psychology and works as an editor in "Europa", the political and cultural weekly supplement to the daily newspaper "Dziennik". He is also a member of the editing board of "Krytyka Polityczna".
Magdalena Krawczyk
Born in 1979. Graduated from MISH at the University of Warsaw (major: sociology). Magda is a teaching assistant at the Institute for Social Studies at the University of Warsaw, where she is finishing her PhD (on higher education). She works as an expert in education for the Civil Rights Ombudsman and OECD. She cooperates with the Center for Social and Economic Research in Poland(CASE). She worked for the United Nations in New York on a world youth report. She has been a member of the board of Collegium Invisibile.
Piotr Labenz
Born in 1980. He graduated from MISH at the University of Warsaw (major in Philosophy) and has an M.Sc. in Logic from the University of Amsterdam. He also studied at Duke University (Open Society Institute fellowship) and at the European College of Liberal Arts. At McKinsey & Company, Piotr has been advising leading companies on strategy, marketing and organization. Presently, he works in investment banking. Piotr has published several articles in philosophy and linguistics, and about Polish higher education.
Karolina Lewestam
Born in 1979, graduated from MISH at the University of Warsaw (major: philosophy, minor: applied social sciences). She is completing her PhD in philosophy at Boston University. She studied at the European College of Liberal Arts in Berlin for two years, and is a member of Collegium Invisibile. Karolina has taught philosophy to high school and university students, and has co-authored several sets of teaching materials. She worked as a strategy planner at the G7 advertising agency and as a TV editor.
Michał Miąskiewicz
Born in 1981. Graduated from Harvard University (BA with Honors in Political Science) and from the College of Europe in Natolin (MA in European Integration). He was President of the Council of Europe Youth Assembly and an intern researcher at the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels. Michał is currently Teaching Assistant for European Politics at the College of Europe. Besides teaching and course management, he participates in curriculum development and admissions. He co-authored a number of publications on Polish higher education reform.
